Volunteers needed for “LIFT”

“LIFT” IS LOOKING FOR VOLUNTEERS

One way to help a neighbor in need is to open the passenger door on your car. Many people in our area, more than 30,000 people in the six counties of southwestern Wisconsin are transportation disadvantaged. Whether lack of money, lack of car or lack of physical ability, people need help getting from wherever they are to wherever they need to be: doctors, grocery store, pharmacy, work.
LIFT coordinates available drivers and vehicles with passengers needing rides.
LIFT offers $.50/mile reimbursement. Call 877-798-5438 or 608-930-2191 to learn how you can help!

Looking for Drivers and Riders

The Southwest Community Action LIFE (Leadership in Innovative Flexible Transportation) program is offering a pilot program to offer free rides to work or to look for work for people with disabilities in Grant, Lafayette, Green, Iowa, and Richland counties.  We have a network of volunteer drivers who are reimbursed for gas at approximately $.50 per mile through a Kwik Trip gas card.  We also try to provide volunteer drivers for transportation in the area for any reason, for a rate of $.50 per mile.  We are looking for both drivers and riders.  If you are interested or have questions, please call 1-877-798 -5438.
